Lecture by Derry Brabbs - Saturday 13th October - Otley Methodist Church Hall
I Am Writing to advice you that on Saturday 13th October at 7.30 pm, we are presenting a lecture by Derry Brabbs, internationally famous photographer, and thought that your members would be interested in this.
Derry's collaboration with well known personalities have produced a plethora of best sellers including James Herriot's Yorkshire, Wynford Vaughan-Thomas's Wales, Angela Rippon's West Country, Fellwalking with Wainwright, Wainwright on the Pennine Way, Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk, and Dickie Bird's Britain. in addition, Derry has written several of his own books, nameley, English Country Churches, Abbeys & Monasteries, In The Footsteps of Wainwright and his latest book which is due out in September entitles "The Pilgrim routes to Santiago de Compostella".
The Lecutre will feature two halves, one being the journey and photographs of the Pilgrim Routes to Santiago de Compostella and the second a compilation entitiled Dales & Lakes featuring some of his best photographs from the Herriot and Wainwright books.
The cost of the tickets for this event are ?6-00 for adults and ?4-00 for concessions. If as a society you wish to bring along a group, we are prepared to offer you a 10% discount for a party of 10 or more persons.
Tickets will be available from the 1st July and are offered on a "first come, first served" basis. Demand for this is sure to be high so please ensure you book early. An order form for tickets is below and this should be returned to me along with your payment (cheques payable to "Otley Methodist Church") and a stamped
addressed envelope for return of the tickets.
We feel this will be an excellent evening and hope you any your members will support this.
